Watch Review

While Invicta are known for their massive oversized watches, this model takes a slightly different approach with a fairly normal sized watch at 40mm. It’s from their Speedway collection which has always been fairly popular, they’re some nice looking watches that are affordable making them great value for money. You should check out my 9 best Invicta watches for men as well.

A really interesting aspect of this timepiece is the textured design of the dial, there’s lots of little detailing that makes this stand out from the crowd. The dial has 3 chronograph sub-dials that are nicely spaced out and leave room for a little date display at the 4:30 position. The sub dials display 60 second, 60 minute and 24 hour for the stop watch function of the chronograph. There’s some quality lume on the remaining hour markers and primary hands of the watch, this makes it easier to tell the time in the dark.

Protecting the dial we have a mineral crystal glass, this is pretty much what I expected to find in this price range. Mineral glass is specially hardened to be extra resistant to scratches and knocks.

Inside the watch, we have a simple Japanese quartz movement. This is a fair inexpensive movement that’s reliable and accurate, this is great for keeping the overall cost of the watch affordable.

As for sizing, the casing diameter is 40mm which is a pretty standard size these days. The thickness of the casing is 13mm which is a little chunky, but nothing over the top.

The strap is made of stainless steel and has a standard fold over clasp with safety catch. The strap is 20mm wide which fits in with the rest of the strap sizing nicely.

A great benefit of this watch is the impressive 200m water resistance rating. A 200m water rating or 20 ATM is suitable for professional marine activity, serious surface water sports and skin diving.

My Final Thoughts On This Invicta 9223 Review:

The Invicta 9223 offers some pretty good value for money in my opinion. I know a lot of people find Invicta to be a marmite brand but I covered my thoughts on this in my “are Invicta watches good” article. The watch looks great, is well made and has a 200m water resistance rating, not bad for the money really.

After looking into the watch design, quality, features, and pricing this watch received an 8/10 from us at The Watch Blog.
