This is the first luxury automatic minimalistic watch that we’re featuring. I’d say it more hints on minimal design than staying completely true to it. The semi-exposed dial is a beautiful edition though, showcasing the automatic movement at work. This watch features an exhibition caseback too, one of my favourite features on an automatic watch.

The whole design is done extremely well in my opinion. And all on what I would class as an affordable minimalistic watch.
20. Junghans Max Bill Automatic Watch Made in Germany (High end – Luxury)
Iconic design, true to the original penned by Max Bill in the 1960’s, the Junghans Max Bill Chronoscope is elegant and refined with minimalistic design, as well as being perfectly simple.
Inside the watch is a Junghans self winding automatic mechanical J800.1 movement, with the bare necessities of second, minute and hour. This is displayed on a matte silver plated dial, beautifully curved, with hour and minutes marked clearly and simply with very slim batons, and luminous markers at the 4 quarters.
The case is a stainless steel construction, with curved SICRALAN coated hard plexiglass, true to the original. The watch fastens on a soft black calfskin leather strap.
21. Nevo Fitness Smartwatch Paris NEVOPR15 (Mid range)
This is quite an interesting minimalist smartwatch from Nevo. It’s a hybrid timepiece with an analogue display to show the time on its minimalistic dial. The smartwatch aspect of the watch has settings for incoming calls, texting, WhatsApp messages etc. It also features an activity monitor for distance covered, calories, running and swimming. It’s an interesting option with mixed feedback.
22. Brathwait Classic Slim Minimalistic Watch
I’ve featured Brathwait on this site in the past. They’re a brand I’ve been fond of for a while. They make affordable minimal watches and are extremely transparent with their costs. This watch features a domed sapphire crystal glass with an anti-reflective coating. A Swiss quartz precision movement. And a 100 water resistance rating. To top it off is the brown Italian top grain leather strap for extra comfort.
23. EONE Unisex The Bradley Mesh Silver Titanium Watch
The Bradley watch by EONE is an extremely clever minimalist watch. It was inspired by Bradley Snyder, a former naval officer who was serving as a bomb diffuser in Afghanistan. Sadly he lost his sight while on active duty, yet he refused to let this limit his life.
Working with Bradley, as well as other visually impaired users, Eone were able to produce this timepiece, The Bradley. Rather than using traditional braille or tactile or talking watches, the Bradley allows the user to accurately and discreetly tell the time using touch, or visually, while still being a stylish minimalist watch.
At the heart of the watch is a quartz movement with Swiss parts, the time is told with a combination of tactile raised hour markers, and two magnetised ball bearings running in independent tracks around the front and edge of the watch case. If the user’s touch is too forceful, the bearing will roll around the inside of their track and settle again on the correct time, rather than affecting the timekeeping.

Original Grain are a brand that I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing on the site before. I was really pleased with the quality and presentation of their watches. The Ebony Matte Black is part of their minimalist collection. The watch features a 1.7mm wood bezel inlay and runs on a Japanese quartz movement.

Next up we have the popular designer brand Calvin Klein with their black shimmering minimal dial. This is a simple designer watch that’s suitable for smart or casual occasions. It’s a smaller men’s watch with a 38mm casing diameter and 9mm thickness making it fairly slim. The watch is Swiss made and as such comes with a Swiss quartz movement and scratch-resistant mineral crystal glass.

This next model from Skagen is a titanium minimalist watch. Titanium is a popular material to use in watchmaking due to it being lighter and stronger than stainless steel. I love the design of this dial, it’s very minimal with the use of dots as hour markers around the outside of the dial. I also like this small hint of colour in the form of an orange seconds hand.
It’s a slim watch coming in with a thickness of just 7mm. It runs on a quartz movement and has a decent 50m water resistance rating.

In at number 36 we have another beautiful looking watch from MVMT who have a huge selection of stylish watches available. This model features a laid back minimal style chronograph display with no extra detailing on show. There’s a nice touch of colour on the dial with the use of the light blue second hand which I like the look of myself.
37. Marloe Dewent Classic Minimal Watch
Recently I had the pleasure of reviewing a couple of watches from the Dewent collection by Marloe. I was very pleased with the quality of these watches, and they look fantastic. It features a Japanese Miyota 6T33 mechanical movement with a 40+ hour power reserve. The watches are a take on traditional British watches of the 50’s and 60’s, as such you’ll find they have a smaller build with a 38mm diameter and a hi dome custom acrylic crystal. One of my favourite features is the solid engraved case back that includes a port hole crystal.
38. August Steiner Men’s Endeavor Analogue Quartz Watch (Very Affordable)
For those of you out there simple looking for a cheap minimalist watch then this timepiece from August Steiner could be suitable for you. It’s a very affordable minimalistic watch that features a reliable quartz movement and a soft genuine leather strap. The dial of the watch features just the hour and minute hands with a slim design.
39. Emporio Armani Mimimal Watch with Leather Strap (Affordable)
I’ve actually got this next watch in my personal collection. I love the genuine leather strap on this watch, it’s incredibly soft and comfortable, one of my favourites out of over 60 watches I own. It’s an attractive looking minimalistic watch from Emporio Armani with a round stainless steel case and bold silver dial that measures 46mm in diameter. The watch is powered by a Japanese quartz movement and has a 50m water resistance rating.
40. Rotary Men’s Swiss Made Kensington Quartz Watch (Mid Range)
Next up we have a Swiss minimalist watch from Rotary. Rotary’s Les Originales collection has a wide selection of Swiss made watches available. This model features a beautiful white sunburst effect dial with a rose gold PVD casing. The seconds are display on a separate subdial which is a feature I tend to go for.
This model runs on a Swiss quartz movement and has a 100m water resistance rating. The crystal is made of a very scratch resistant sapphire glass that’s extremely durable. The strap is made of a soft genuine leather and has a nice croc effect to it.

There’s a small date display located at the 6 o’clock position with a high contrast finish to make it easier to read. This Skagen minimalist watch runs on a quartz movement and has a fairly basic 30m water resistance rating.
42. Mondaine Men’s Helvetica No1 Minimalistic Watch (Mid Range)
Here we have a rather beautifully designed minimalist watch from Mondaine, I wouldn’t expect anything less from them to be honest. This Swiss made minimalist watch has this beautifully simple design combined with a high level of craftsmanship and components.
This Swiss Mondaine Helvetica watch is kitted with an extremely accurate Swiss made quartz movement, has a sapphire crystal glass for excellent scratch resistance, and is fitted with a stylish Milanese mesh bracelet style strap. All in all a stunning minimalistic watch.

Laco Munster are a very popular high end brand that produces a range of stylish watches. If you’re looking for a minimalist pilot watch, then this could be for you, if it’s in budget that is. As you’d expect from any pilot watch, this model features a high visibility dial with a brilliant coating of lume for easy reading in dim lit conditions. The crown itself is oversize making it easy to operate when wearing gloves.

This is one of Brathwait’s higher end watches running on a Swiss made automatic movement, instead of a quartz as seen in the earlier Brathwait minimalist watch we featured. The dial keeps to that minimalistic style with a small burst of colour with the use of the red seconds hand. This model features a burgundy top grain Italian leather strap to go with the rose gold PVD finish of the casing.

This is a high end luxury minimalist watch from Georg Jensen. The Koppel originally debuted in 1978, this current generation continues with the minimalist design with fluent lines and sleek thin hands. The watch has an uncluttered purity which was a focus of the minimalistic design.

I’ve mentioned before how I’m a fan of the way Brathwait does business, open and honest with their costs sharing how much each part of the timepiece costs them. This model features a domed anti reflective sapphire crystal glass and runs on a Swiss Ronda Cal 1004 movement. A key feature of the Minimalist Luminous is of course the luminous coating of the hands, making them easier to read in dim lit conditions.

This minimalist watch from Kent Wang was inspired by the Bauhaus movement of the the 1930s which first ushered in the era of modern architecture, minimal designs with no text, no logos, no numerals and no luminous paint. The front ball bearing indicates the minute whilst the side ball bearing indicates the hour of the day.

Lacoste is a popular designer brand among the younger generation. This simplistic looking watch features a sparse dark blue dial with a mix of white and rose gold detailings with the Lacoste logo at the 3 o’clock position. They’ve gone for a minimal design electing to remove the seconds hand and sticking to long slim hour markers. If you’re looking for a modest minimalist watch that’s suitable for casual occasions, this could well be the one for you.

Storm have a great selection of very slim minimalist watches that are always worth checking out if you’re not a fan of thicker timepieces. This model has a case depth of just 8mm giving it a very low profile. One of the main stand out design features of this watch from Storm is the eye catching blue finish of the dial. This is complemented by the slim white hands and silver baton style hour markers.
68. Bulbul Pebble Unisex Quartz Minimalist Watch (Mid Range)
This is the second Bulbul Pebble watch we’re featuring in this list of the best minimalist watches for men.
