Skagen SKW6216 Review Men’s Quartz Watch

Skagen SKW6216 Watch Review Summary

My rating: 8/10. Skagen minimalist watch. Quartz powered timepiece.

Hello, today I’m doing a Skagen SKW6216 review. This is a rather popular timepiece from Skagen that makes use of minimalist watch design that’s proven to be a bit hit with the likes of Daniel Wellington and Brathwait. The watch is relatively affordable and is powered by a reliable quartz movement.

Dial & Case Design

I mentioned earlier on how this timepiece features a good use of minimalist design. The dial uses a white coloured background and combines it with these slim black baton style hour markers and hands. I like the use of the seconds hand in the sub-dial at the 6 o’clock position, they’ve also opted for a dash of colour with this part of the dial.

the casing of this Skagen men’s watch is made of a black ion-plated steel and has a diameter of 40mm and a thickness of 8mm. The crown is positioned at the 3 o’clock position and doesn’t screw down.

Type Of Crystal

Protecting the front of the watch is a mineral crystal glass. This is a popular middle range glass that’s been specially hardened to offer a good level of scratch and shatter resistance. You’ll find it in many popular watches in this price range.

Watch Movement

Powering this timepiece is a reliable and accurate quartz movement. You’ll find these in all sorts of watches as they’re often low cost and require very little maintenance.

The soft brown coloured genuine leather strap goes well with the black ion-plated steel casing of this watch. The strap fastens with a buckle clasp that’s finished in the same black-ion plating to match up to the casing. The width of the strap is approximately 18mm.

Water Resistance Rating

This watch has a 50m water resistance rating. A 50m or 5 bar rating makes this watch suitable for swimming, white water rafting, and fishing.
