Hello everyone, today I’m taking a look at 13 affordable Casio G-Shock watches that I’m sure many of you would class as quite cheap. Whilst I may say ‘cheap G-Shock watches‘ it doesn’t mean you aren’t getting a high-quality watch. There are lots of affordable G-Shock watches available from Casio that are very durable and full of useful features. You may be surprised what you can get for a small amount of money.
Why Buy A G-Shock Watch
Casio’s range of G-Shock watches offer exceptional shock resistance and durability, they were designed to be tested to the limits. These days they are the best choice for highly active people from skaters and snowboarders to trick bike professionals. If you require an impact-resistance watch then you can be sure a G-Shock is the way to go.
G-Shock watches feature these oversized designs with their thick resin coating that helps protect the watch. All of the watches featured in today’s list of ‘best cheap G-Shock watches for men’ have a water resistance of 200m which is plenty enough for serious surface water sports.
With all that being said, it’s time to take a look at our 13 most recommended G-Shock watches that don’t break the bank. Please note that due to prices changing daily I don’t display a live price. If you like the look and sound of a watch just follow the link to find out today’s price.
1. Casio G-Shock GA-100-1A2ER
Now I have to admit, I’m a sucker for blue detailing like this so this may be one of my favourite G-Shock watches lookswise. One of the more visually obliging designs in my opinion. As you’d expect it has a durable resin case design and a tough mineral glass to resist scratching.
Features on this model include its 200m water resistance that makes it suitable for professional marine activity, serious surface water sports and skin diving. A high-quality shock resistant build for impact and vibration resistance. There’s also the stand stopwatch, neo illuminator, alarm, and countdown timer. With the added extra to measure average speed for a travelled route.
As far as aesthetics go, I particularly like the design of the hands, with that hollowed out style it’s pretty intriguing and draws your eyes in.
2. Casio G-Shock AW-591MS-1AER
Another extremely popular G-Shock watch is this AW-591MS-1AER. It has been featured in a few of our most recommend lists lately, mainly due to its value for money and good quality build. I find the dial design pretty interesting, the reversed digital display is a nice touch, normally you have black writing on a light background but this is the opposite way round. This model features a nylon fabric strap which offers you extra comfort.
Features of the AW-591MS-1AER include stopwatch, neo illuminator, multi-time zone, countdown timer, and alarm. It also offers 200m water resistance suitable for professional marine activity, serious surface water sports, and skin diving.
3. Casio G-Shock GA-400-1AER
The first thing I noticed about this G-Shock watch was its striking design, the black and white theme really makes it stand out. An interesting design choice is the digital displays which have opposite colouring. One goes for black writing over a light background and the other has white other dark. You don’t see that all too often. Another thing to point out is the size of the crown, it’s huge. Overall a very nice looking watch, though.
Features of the GA-400-1AER include a world time display, neo illuminator, stopwatch, countdown timer, up to 5 alarms, and of course that 200m water resistance. 200m water resistance also known as 20 bar is suitable for professional marine activity, serious surface water sports, and skin diving
4. Casio G-Shock GD-120MB-1ER
If you prefer a watch that’s a bit more low key the design of this G-Shock is fairly subtle. They’ve gone for a small splash of colour with the red detailing that prevents this model from being otherwise a little bland. This is the first full digital G-Shock we’ve featured, all the others so far had analogue displays primarily. It’s easy to use and features a good selection of functions.
Features on this model include a stopwatch, neo illuminator, world time display, countdown timer, up to 5 alarms, and 200m water resistance. 200m water resistance makes this watch suitable for professional marine activity, serious surface water sports, and skin diving.
5. Casio G-Shock GD350-1BER
This is another cheap digital G-Shock from Casio. I like this almost black out design of the watch casing and straps, it brings your focus onto the dial. At first, the display may seem like a lot of information to take it but it is fairly easy to operate and read once you get the hang of it.
One of my favourite features of this watch is its ‘Vibe Alarm’ which means you can have the watch set to vibrate instead of sounding an alarm. Other features included with this watch are world time display, stopwatch, countdown timer, neo illuminator, and its 5 alarm system. As with all the other G-Shock watches featured it also has 200m water resistance suitable for professional marine activity, serious surface water sports, and skin diving.
6. Casio G-Shock GA-100CF-1AER
Now I wouldn’t blame you for thinking it would be hard to read the time on this display, however having taken a look through many reviews there are lots of people who says it is very clear and easy to read. I do rather like this dial design, it has a tiger camouflage pattern in the background which adds some nice detailing. Again we have these hollowed out hands that I liked from this first watch so that’s another plus for me.

7. Casio G-Shock GA-100A-7AER
This model has quite a bright summery look to it. The bright white design would be pretty hard to miss on your wrist, so if you like watches that stand out this would be perfect. Again I like the subtle use of colouring on the hands and hour indicators. The hands also featured that hollowed out design again which I think looks better than traditional watch hands.
Features of the GA-100A-7AER include a neo illuminator, stopwatch, world time function, countdown timer, 5 daily alarm system. As with the other models, this one also has 200m water resistance that is suitable for professional marine activity, serious surface water sports, and skin diving.
8. Casio G-Shock GA-100A-7AER
This is another dual display mode from G-Shock, the time is shown via the analogue display whilst the day and date are displayed digitally. Again they’ve gone for this light over dark to show the information of the digital displays. I admit I’m probably banging on about hand design a bit much now but this watch does have a pretty interesting design to it.
The GA-100A-7AER features include a stopwatch, countdown timer, world time display, neo illuminator, and alarm system. It also has a 20 bar rating / 200m which is perfect for professional marine activity, serious surface water sports, and skin diving.
9. Casio G-Shock GA-100MB-1AER
Another interesting design here from Casio, this time with the use of green highlighting and dial detailing. This watch is pretty easy to read due to the use of the bright white hands over the black background of the dial.

10. Casio G-Shock GA-100CF-1A9ER
This is the second watch from Casio that we’ve featured that has a tiger camouflage pattern on the dial. I prefer the look of this other the previous model as everything stands out a lot more. They’ve again gone for a dual use of analogue and digital aspects that I really like.
The GA-100CF-1A9ER features a neo illuminator, alarm system, stopwatch, world time display, and countdown timer. 200m water resistance as standard makes this watch ideal for professional marine activity, serious surface water sports, and skin diving.
11. Casio G-Shock GA-110TS-1A4ER
12. Casio G-Shock GA-110MB-1AER
Number 12 on our most recommended cheap G-Shock watches list is this very laid back edition. I can see this one being a bit harder to read for some people due to its blackout style design. The watch does come with an illumination button to make it easier to read but it has mixed feelings on other reviews.
The GA-110MB-1AER features a stopwatch, world time display, neo illuminator, alarm system world time display, and countdown timer. 200m water resistance as with all the other G-Shock waters featured makes this watch suitable for professional marine activity, serious surface water sports, and skin diving.
13. Casio G-Shock GA-120-1AER
The design of the dial for this G-Shock gives you the impression of added depth. Again the use of white watch hands over a black background make this watch very easy to read at a glance. It’s a very interesting designed timepiece and actually works out as one of the most expensive options on our list today.
