Superdry Watches Review – Are They Any Good?

Superdry Watches Review

Hey everyone, today I’ve put together a Superdry watches review. I’ll be featuring 5 of their most popular watches along with taking a look at the history and overall quality of the brand.

Superdry watches are part of the SuperGroup PLC which is a British based international clothing company that combines Japanese inspired graphics with vintage American styling.

Superdry watches began established in 1985 as the name Cult Clothing Co by Ian Hibbs and Julian Dunkerton in 1985. They expanded in the 1990s with a number of UK stores and eventually opended hteir first Superdry store in Covent Garden in 2004.

Are Superdry watches any good?

So are Superdry watches actually any good? Overall I’d say you’re getting some decent value for money myself. Most of their watches are fairly affordable and focus more on the look of the timepiece and overall style rather than going for super expensive parts.

If you’re after for a simple nice looking timepiece, then Superdry should be suitable for you. If you’re someone who cares what movement is on the inside of your watch though, they probably aren’t your sort of watch.

5 Best Superdry Watches

Below I’ve put together a small list of 5 of my most recommended Superdry watches to consider. These are all pretty affordable, as expected from Superdry’s watch collection. This is intended to give you an idea of the types of timepieces the brand has available.  As always, I recommend checking out the full list of Superdry watches on Amazon or Watch Shop

1. Superdry Men’s Urban Watch

First up on today’s list of the best Superdry watches is this simple and affordable silicone model. It’s built with a 38mm diameter casing that has a 10mm thickness and is overall quite a lightweight timepiece. The strap is made of a black rubber and fastens with a buckle style clasp.

The dial has a very easy to read design with these bold contrasting orange hands and numeral style hour markers.

Powering this timepiece is a accurate and reliable quartz movement. A plastic lens provides a decent level of shatter resistance but doesn’t offer much protection from scratches. This watch also has a 50m water resistance rating.

2. Superdry Men’s Digital Black Rubber Watch

Next up in today’s list is this oversized “Radar” chronograph watch. It reminds me somewhat of the Casio G-Shock collection. This watch has a 50mm casing that has a thickness of 14mm and is protected by a plastic/resin mix.

The dial features a digital display with the time and date on show. It also comes with a useful chronograph function.

At the heart of this timepiece is a Japanese made quartz movement that provides you with accurate and reliable timekeeping. Again we have a plastic lens protecting the dial, great against shattering, not so great against scratches. This model also has a 50m water resistance rating.

This is the Superdry Oxford Field stainless steel dress watch. This timepiece has a casing diameter of 40mm with a thickness of 10mm. It’s been paired up with a brown rubber strap that has a standard buckle style clasp.

The dial features a bit of a minimalist design with slender hands and silver coloured hour markers. There’s also a small date indicator at the 3 o’clock position on the dial.

A Japanese quartz movement powers this watch. It provides you with both accurate and reliable timekeeping. A mineral crystal glass provides a good level of resistance to both scratches and shattering.

Last up in today’s list of the most recommended Superdry watches is this men’s Yokohama timepiece. This is a 43mm stainless steel watch that has a thickness of 11mm. I love this bright orange fabric strap that fastens with a buckle clasp.

This is probably one of my favourite dial designs for the Superdry watches featured today. It’s very clear and easy to read, I like the orange detailing against the white background too.

Powering this Superdry watch is a Japanese quartz movement. A mineral crystal glass lens gives you a decent level of resistance against scratches and shattering. This timepiece also has a 50m water resistance rating.

  1. do you have any experience with the Superdry Scuba watch? I want to know if it is actually suited for Scuba diving and if it is ISO rated?
