Hello, today I’m doing a Accurist 7068.01 review. This is a very reasonably priced Accurist chronograph watch that’s of good quality and well worth taking a look at today. Accurist are probably best known for their cheaper watches, this is a little above that, but still an interesting timepiece from them.

7086.01 Dial & Case Design

I quite like the general design of the watch. The chronograph sub dials and date display are spaced out nicely. The watch design gives off a bit of a racing vibe in my opinion. My only negative point would be that it’s quite hard to read the dial once it’s dark, more so the small sub dials. Other than this, though, it’s a nice smart looking dial.

Type Of Crystal

The dial of the watch is protected by a mineral crystal glass. This type of glass is specially hardened to make it extra resistant to scratches and knocks. It’s a decent middle ground when it comes to watch glass, and one you’d expect to find on watches in this price range.

Watch Movement

At the heart of this Accurist watch is a standard quartz style movement. These types of movement are pretty accurate and very reliable.

Watch Size

This Accurist is a popular men’s size at 42mm, one of the most common sizes chosen these days. It has a thickness of 11mm which is quite standard, not too slim nor too chunky. Overall this should suit most people quite happily.

Strap

The strap is made of a fabric cloth that’s set over a genuine leather. It fastens with a standard buckle style clasp with a stainless steel fitting. In all honestly, I’d consider swapping out this strap for a different one as there’s been quite a few people suggesting it isn’t that great.

Extra Features

There’s not much in the way of extra features when it comes to this timepiece. There’s a simple date display between the 4 and 5 markers.

Water Resistance Rating

The watch has a 50m water resistance rating. 50m or 5 bar makes this watch suitable for swimming, white water rafting, non-snorkeling water related work, and fishing.

My Final Thoughts On This Accurist 7068.01 Review:

Whilst this remains a pretty popular, stylish Accurist watch, it isn’t without its downfalls. The strap and lack of visibility of the dial are a shame, but not the end of the world for most people. The strap can quite simply be changed out for a different one, which is something I would personally do myself too. Overall though the design of it is quite nice, I like the racing flair it has and the way the sub dials and date display are laid out on the dial.
