Seiko SARB007 Review
My rating: 8/10. A quality vintage Seiko timepiece powered by the popular 6R15 automatic movement.

The SARB007 features this beautiful green/blue dial and is powered by a 23 jewel 6R15 movement. It’s best suited for formal occasions but will still quite happily go with a jeans and jacket combo.

The Seiko SARB007 is a pretty popular dress watch from Seiko. The dial features this stunning green/blue finish to it which really stands out on your wrist. The hands and baton style hour markers have a small coating of lume for better visibility. There’s also a useful date indicator at the 3 o’clock position. The terms “Seiko”, “automatic”, “Diashock”, and “23 jewels” can also be found on the dial.

The Seiko SARB007 Movement
Powering this Seiko dress watch is the popular Seiko 6R15 automatic movement. You’ll find the 6R15 movement in many SARB and SARX watches like the SARB033 and SARB065.
The 6R15 is a 23 jewel automatic movement that beats at 21,600 BPH. This gives you 6 ticks per second that results in a smooth sweeping second hand.
When fully wound the Seiko 6R15 movement has a power reserve of 50 hours. The movement features manual winding and hacking. The hacking feature means the second hand will stop moving when the crown is pulled out to the time setting position.
Seiko SARB007 Crystal
On the front of the watch is a sapphire crystal glass lens. This has a Mohs hardness rating of 9 and provides you with an excellent level of scratch and knock resistance. Seiko tends to save sapphire crystal glass for their higher end watches.
