Hello, today I’m doing a Seiko SNK807 review. This is a colour variant of the very popular Seiko SNK809 which people have fallen in love with for its low cost and high quality build. The Seiko 5 series have a great selection of automatic watches that are designed to offer great value for money, something this model definitely achieves.

Seiko SNK807 Watch Review
The Seiko SNK807 has a well set out dial with a fairly uncluttered easy to read finish. The watch hands have a good coating of lume to make them easier to read in dim lit conditions.
The casing is made of a strong stainless steel and features an exhibition glass caseback to let you view the movement of the watch.
SNK807 Type Of Crystal
The Seiko SNK807 features a Hardlex crystal glass that’s common for the Seiko 5 series. This offers a good level of scratch and knock protection that’s in the middle of the range between mineral and sapphire glass.
SNK807 Watch Movement
Powering the watch is the popular workhorse movement, the 7S26 automatic. This is a 21 jewel movement with a 43 hour power reserve that runs at 21,600 BPH giving it a really smooth 6 ticks per second finish. It’s worth noting that this movement doesn’t feature manual winding or hacking.
SNK807 Watch Size
The SNK series of watches have a smaller profile that many of the watches you see around these days. The casing diameter measures 37mm (not including the crown) and has a thickness of 11mm. This makes it a medium to small watch that would suit people with smaller wrists too.
SNK807 Strap
The strap of the Seiko SNK807 is made of this strong and sturdy blue canvas material. It measures 18mm in width which goes nicely with the casing size. It fastens with a standard buckle style clasp. This strap can be replaced if you decide you want to, the gap between the lugs is 18mm.
SNK807 Extra Features
One of my favourite features for this type of watch is the exhibition caseback which allows you to take a look at the inner workings of the watch through the glass case back of the watch.
SNK807 Water Resistance Rating
This is an affordable watch that isn’t really designed for water wear and as such has a relatively basic water resistance rating. A 30m or 3 bar rating makes this watch suitable for everyday use. Splash/rain resistant. Not suitable for showering, bathing, swimming, snorkelling, water related work and fishing.
