Michael Kors Women’s Watch MK5038 Review

Michael Kors Women’s Watch MK5038 Review.

Hello, today I’m doing a Michael Kors MK5038 review. I mentioned the other week that I wanted to try and include more women’s watches so with that being said I’m taking a close look at the MK5038 by Michael Kors. Michael Kors have grown to become one of the biggest selling women’s watch brands recently with a huge selection of styles available.

View detailsMy Initial Thoughts On This Watch

One of the instantly noticeable features of this watch from Michael Kors is the tortoise style bracelet that really makes the watch stand out. The second thing you’ll notice is that dazzling gold plated bezel with the intricate detailing. These two features coupled together make the watch a bit different to other timepieces, likely what’s made it so popular.

On the inside, the watch is using a reliable Japanese Quartz chronograph movement which is great to see as well.

Type of glass

As you’d often find in this sort of price range, the watch features a mineral glass that’s specially hardened for protection from scratches and knocks. Whilst not as tough as a sapphire glass, you’re unlikely to find many watches with that in this price range. So I’m quite happy to see the mineral glass featured.

Size

The casing diameter of the watch is 36mm, this is a good average size for a ladies watch. The thickness of the watch is of a fairly normal size too at 10mm. Overall it’s a fairly common sized women’s watch.

Calendar

Through the use of the chronograph sub dials, the watch has a nice little date feature. There is also a day of the week display on the other sub dial so they compliment each other very well. Due to the fact this isn’t a perpetual calendar, you’ll have to adjust the date for the varying amount of days in each month throughout the year.

Watch strap and clasp

I touched upon the subject at the beginning of this watch review earlier, but the tortoise shell finish on this bracelet really does look stunning. Whilst the main casing of the watch is made of stainless steel, the strap is actually made from a plastic resin. This gives the watch a lighter finish that some people prefer. The strap has a nice little push button deployment clasp which is actually the style I prefer most.
