An In Depth Akribos Watches Review

Hello everyone, today I’ve got the exciting opportunity to showcase some of the best Akribos XXIV watches for men and women. Akribos XXIV have actually sent me out all these watches so I could have a good look at the quality of each them, and I have to say I’m extremely pleased with them. I can honestly say the photos don’t do many of these watches justice, which is why I’ll be providing some of my own pictures with my separate reviews of some of the models.

Are Akribos Watches Any Good?

The Akribos brand focuses on innovative and imaginative fashionable watches. They have a huge selection available that over the years they’ve continuously improved upon and added to. They take customer feedback on board and are always improving their designs, be it adjusting the size of the crown for a better fit or slightly altering designs. It’s great to come across a brand that cares about their watches as much as this. Their watches offer pretty good value for money in my opinion.

We’re going to take a look at 11 of the most popular Akribos XXIV watches for men. The first watch featured is actually my favourite but make sure you check out the gift set at number 11 for some impressive value for money.  First up we have this really nice automatic mechanical movement model that featured an exposed movement with its skeleton design. The watch has many of my favourite features such as the skeleton dial design, exhibition caseback, and the blue hands on the dial. The genuine leather strap is pretty comfortable and fastens with a standard buckle clasp. The watch has a 50m water resistance rating that makes it suitable for swimming, white water rafting, non-snorkeling water related work, and fishing.

 2. Akribos XXIV Men’s Quartz Watch AK618RG (Very Affordable)

 Here we have a very affordable Akribos XXIV watch, it has a simplistic smart design that I find works well. This model uses a Japanese quartz movement that’s affordable and reliable. The tan coloured leather strap blends well with the rose gold finish of the casing and the charcoal colour of the dial. The hands have a small coating of lume that makes it easier to read in dim lit conditions. Other features include a useful date display at the 3 o’clock position and a 30m water resistance rating that makes it suitable for everyday use. Splash/rain resistant.

3. Akribos XXIV Conqueror Quartz Chronograph Watch AK727BKBR

 If you like sturdier watches this model is well worth considering. It has a steampunk design to it with its wide, durable leather strap and chunky finish. The casing has a gunmetal-tone finish and is made of stainless steel, the movement is a Japanese chronograph quartz and the watch has a 30m water resistance rating making it suitable for everyday use. This is a fairly oversized watch with a casing diameter of 49mm so it’s unlikely to be suitable for people with smaller wrists so keep that in mind.

 All black watches have been extremely popular lately so it’s no surprise that this would make it into our best Akribos watches list. This watch has some impressive features like its Swiss quartz precision chronograph movement and the sapphire-coated crystal dial window. Extra features of this watch include the lume to make the watch easier to read in the dark, the date display within the chronograph sub-dials and the 30m water resistance rating. The watch has a brilliant sleek finish to it and reminds me of some much more expensive watches, so I’d say you’re getting a very decent deal with this model.

5. Akribos XXIV Chronograph Quartz AK736TTB Watch

This is a slightly different take on the previous watch we looked at. This model has a two-tone stainless steel bracelet and again looks extremely smart. It has a good weight to it that’s reassuring and gives the watch that quality feel. It’s powered by a Swiss quartz chronograph movement and has a 30m water resistance rating. Like the previous watch, this model also has a good use of lume of the hour and minute hands making it easier to read at night and a sapphire coated mineral crystal.

6. Akribos XXIV Swiss Quartz Gold Tone Watch AK736YG

 All gold watches such as this one have always been popular for people looking for affordable luxury looking watches. It’s a large watch with a 45mm casing diameter and is bound to get noticed on your wrist, in a good way of course. For me personally, I like to get my gold coloured watches out in the summer when I feel they look their best. This watch also has a Swiss quartz chronograph movement along with lume and a 30m water resistance rating. 7. Akribos XXIV Quartz Watch With Mesh Strap AK813BK

I’m a big fan of mesh straps on watches and this is the first of two that are being featured today. I find mesh straps are extra comfy and fairly lightweight on the wrist. An extra benefit is the ability to quickly and easily adjust the strap size as well. This is another very sleek looking model with that primary black design that people seem to love. The watch features a Swiss quartz movement, separate date display, sapphire coated mineral crystal, and lume. Overall a very flashy choice that would be one of my top picks from this list.

 8. Akribos XXIV Men’s Chronograph Mesh Style Strap Watch AK844SSB

 This is a very similar take on the previous watch, however, you may notice that this model doesn’t have that separate date display. There is of course still a day and date display within the chronograph sub-dials so it’s not like you’re missing out on any features, I actually prefer this dial design over the previous watch. Again the mesh style strap is extra comfortable on the wrist and sits really well. This watch has a Swiss quartz movement, luminous hands, sapphire coated mineral glass, and a 30m water resistance rating.

 This blue dial of this Akribos timepiece really makes this watch stand out. This model has a slim and stylish finish with its chronograph sub-dials and Roman numerals. The watch is powered by a Swiss quartz movement, includes lume on the hour and minute hands, a 30m water resistance rating, and a sapphire coated mineral glass.

 This is very similar to watch number 4, to be honest. A key difference is the size though, this model has a casing diameter of 41mm making it smaller than the AK736BK. It keeps to that smart design that many of the Akribos watches have that I’m very fond of. Features of this model include a Quartz movement, sapphire coated mineral glass, lume, and a 30m water resistance rating.

 With this gift set option from Akribos XXIV you actually get some really great value for money. I compared the price of the set to the individual watches and you’re practically getting the leather watch for free. The two watches included in this set are the AK813SSB (silver mesh strap) and the AK801BRB (leather strap). The AK813SSB is a large watch with a 45mm casing that features a comfortable mesh style strap. It has a Swiss quartz movement, sapphire coated mineral glass, lume, and a 30m water resistance rating. The AK801BRB features this interesting blue dial that draws your eyes in. There’s a simple to use day and date display as well as clear large numerals to make telling the time extra easy. This set is affordable and would make the perfect selection for a gift.

Now we’re going to be taking a look at 9 of the most popular Akribos XXIV watches for women. The other half quickly decided that watch number 2 was her favourite when it comes to style. She liked the slimline dainty design of the watch as well as the diamond hour indicators on the dial. There’s quite the selection of designs available so I’m sure there will be something for everyone here.

These are some of the smallest watches available from Akribos XXIV with their slimline 6mm thick casings, the genuine leather band itself is also nice and slim with a 12mm width. The watch features a Miyota quartz movement, sapphire coated mineral glass, and a 30m water resistance rating.

This model was actually my other half’s favourite pick from all the women’s watches featured today.
