Diesel Watches Review – Are They Any Good?

Diesel Watches Review

Hey everyone, today I’ve put together a Diesel watches review where I’ll be taking a brief look at the history of the brand before featuring 5 of their most popular watches currently available.

Are start things off with the history of Diesel watches, follow by a look at the quality of their timepieces. To end things we’ll have a little look at 5 of their best watches to give you an idea of what’s available from the brand.

Brief Diesel Watches History

The Diesel brand has quite an interesting story behind it. The founder of Diesel, Renzo Ross began stitching jeans at the age of fifteen using his mother’s sewing machine to produce low-riding, bell bottomed jeans. He used to wear these himself and sell others to his friends.

In  1976 he began working for Moltex, a clothing manufacturer owned by Adriano Goldschmied. He worked here for two years before getting a loan from his father to buy a 40% holding in the company, this is when the company changed its name from Moltex to Diesel.

In 1985 Ross bought out the remaining interest in the company owned by Goldschmied for US$500,000 to become the sole owner of the company.

In the 2000s the Diesel company began to license its brand to other retail manufacturers in order to grow in other categories. They partnered with Marcolin to produce Diesel Eyewear, L’Oreal to produce fragrance, and Fossil to produce watches.

Are Diesel Watches Good?

So are Diesel watches any good? Well, the fact that Fossil actually produces the watches goes a way to show that they mean business. Fossil watches produces timepieces for a variety of popular designer brands including Adidas, Karl Lagerfeld, Michael Kors, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Burberry, DKNY, and Amani Exchange, just to name a few.

Fossil has been producing quality watches for years now. They’re known for using high quality parts and keeping watches affordable when need be. Diesel still supervises the production of their watches though.

Diesel watches are bold and powerful statement pieces designed to get noticed on your wrist. They’re well known for their large oversized watches, many of which feature in today’s list. These edgy eye-catching watches dare to be a little different whilst maintaining a luxury edge to their design.

The majority of Diesel watches are fairly affordable and offer good value for money compared to other similar designer fashion brands. They stand out from the rest of the crowd with their huge statement piece watches which is something I also appreciate. All in all, I’d say Diesel watches are definitely more than good.
