Swiss Military Hanowa Watch Review
This timepiece from Swiss Military Hanowa has a pilots theme to it with a high visibility easy to read display with a good coating of lume on the hands and hour markers for good measure.
There’s two chronograph sub-dials as well as a small date display on show at the 3 o’clock position. I think the dial could be teetering on the edge of being a little too busy, I’m not a fan of using half cut off numerals, I’m looking at the 11 in disgust. That being said, the rest of the design is nice.

The casing of the watch is made of stainless steel with a black ion plating. The crown is found at the 3 o’clock position with chronograph pushers either side. Note that the crown isn’t screw down.
Type Of Crystal
This watch from Swiss Military Hanowa is built with a sapphire crystal glass to protect the dial. It offers some of the best scratch resistance available with a Mohs hardness rating of 9. It’s often found in much more expensive watches.
Watch Movement
Powering the watch is a Swiss made precision quartz movement. These are often favoured over a Chinese movement as they’re much more reliable and accurate. Quartz movements require very little maintenance as well.
Watch Size
The casing of this Hanowa timepiece has a diameter of approximately 40mm and a thickness of 10mm. Overall this is a good size for a men’s watch and likely to suit most people.
Strap
The strap is made of stainless steel and features the same black Ion plating as the casing. It measures 20mm in width which goes well with the casing size. The strap fastens with a fold over push-button clasp.
Water Resistance Rating
This Swiss Military Hanowa watch has a 100m water resistance rating. A 100m or 10 bar rating makes this watch suitable for recreational surfing, swimming, snorkeling, sailing and water sports.

When you compare the components of this watch to the price you pay for it, it’s hard not to think that you’ve gone and got yourself a pretty decent deal. It’s Swiss made with a reliable Swiss quartz movement and a strong sapphire crystal glass. All in all, I’ve been very impressed with this timepiece.
