Rotary GB05032/06 Watch Review Summary

My rating: 8.5/10. Great watch. Value for money skeletonised watch design.

Hello, today I’m doing a Rotary GB05032/06 review. I recently wrote an article on the 10 best Rotary Skeleton watches for men and decided I wanted to feature more of Rotary’s skeleton watches. This is another one of their most popular models featuring a stainless steel strap.

I hope you enjoy this Rotary GB05032/06 review below.

Watch Review

Dial & Case Design

I love the open heart dial design on this timepiece. It allows you to have a glimpse of the inner workings of the watch and it’s beautiful 21 jewel automatic Miyota movement. The blue hour markers and hands adds a fantastic splash of colour to the dial that I think really compliment the hints of colour you can see on the mechanism. Overall a beautifully designed dial in my opinion. The casing is made of a brushed stainless steel that’s hypoallergenic and tarnish resistant.

Type Of Crystal

On the front and rear of the watch we have a protective mineral crystal glass. This type of glass is specially hardened to offer a higher level of scratch and knock protection. It also offers a good level of shatter resistance in case you do ever happen to drop your watch.

Watch Movement

Powering the watch is a good quality 21 jewel Miyota Japanese automatic movement. These movements are powered by the movement of the wearer’s wrist and never require a battery.

Watch Size

Everything is fairly standard when it comes to the watch sizing. The casing diameter measures 40mm and has a thickness of 12mm. This is a really popular size for men’s watches at the moment so I’m sure this will be suitable for most people.

Strap

Most of the watches we’ve featured recently have leather straps, this time round we have something a little different with the stainless steel strap. It has an 18mm width and fastens with a butterfly style push release clasp, one of my favourite options when it comes to clasps. They’re just so easy to operate.

Extra features

My favourite feature has to be the exhibition caseback. This allows you to take a greater look at the inner workings of the watch and its automatic movement. You can get a better look at this feature from the picture below.

Water Resistance Rating

This watch has a water resist rating of Rotary dolphin standard. This means you and your watch can swim and dive all day. Dolphin Standard watches are suitable for: Swimming, shallow diving, yachting, all water sports (excluding scuba diving) and showering.
