Rotary GB90168/04 Dial and Casing Design

The Rotary Legacy GB90168/04 is a popular diving style watch and as such comes kitted out with that standard high visibility dial design you’d expect from such a timepiece. The black enamel dial features contrasting, bold shield shaped hands and hour markers that have a coating of Super LumiNova for excellent visibility in dim lit conditions.

The terms “Rotary”, “legacy automatic”, and “Les Originales” can be seen on the dial. There’s also a useful date indicator found at the 3 o’clock position on the dial.

The unidirectional bezel on the front of the Rotary Legacy features a luxury black ceramic insert and minute numbering.

The casing of this Rotary Legacy Dive watch is made of stainless steel with a diameter of 42mm and a thickness of 11mm. The crown on this model is located at the 3 o’clock position.

The rear of the casing features an exhibition style window that allows you to take a look at the inner workings of the Rotary Legacy watch and its Sellita SW200 automatic movement.

The Rotary GB90168/04 Movement

At the heart of this Rotary diving watch is the popular Sellita SW200 automatic movement. This is a Swiss made movement from Sellita that features in many automatic timepieces as it is something of an industry standard.

The Sellita SW200 beats at 28,800 BPH which gives you a really smooth 8 ticks per second sweeping second hand. The 26 jewel movement features a 38 hour power reserve when fully wound.

This Sellia SW200 automatic movement features both hacking and quick date adjustment which are both popular features often desired in automatic movements. Hacking allows you to more accurately set your time as the second hand will stop moving when the crown is pulled out to the time adjust position.

Below you can see a picture of the Sellita SW200 movement on show through the rear exhibition caseback.
