Review Daniel Wellington 0107DW Gents Watch

Review Daniel Wellington 0107DW Gents Watch.

Hello everyone, today I’m doing a Daniel Wellington 0107DW review. This is another watch from the ever so popular Daniel wellington selection which have burst onto the seen recently and are now one of the most popular watch choices for someone seeking simplistic sleek design. Daniel Wellington was only recently founded in 2011 so it’s very impressive to see just how far they have come, in so little time.

My Initial Thoughts On This Watch

With it’s signature simplistic design you can’t help but fall in love with this watch, I love that laid back feel you get, the seconds aren’t important, just scrap them from the watch design, perfect. The rose gold casing blends nicely with the black genuine leather strap and the large white face of the watch, a great use of subtle colour in the design.

I mentioned earlier that Daniel Wellington only began back in 2011, it just goes to show that with great design and very affordable pricing any watch company can grow rapidly to become one of the most popular brands of our time. They offer a large selection of different colours casings and styles of straps. I’m more a fan of these traditional leather straps which is why I love this watch so much.

Type of glass

As you would expect to find in this price range, the Daniel Wellington 0107DW features a specially hardened mineral glass lens. Mineral glass is fairly good at resisting scratches and is pretty affordable which is why it is so commonly used in watches in this price range. It’s also more shatter proof than the more expensive sapphire glass which is worth keeping in mind. If you’re a watch dropper you’re better off with a mineral glass than a sapphire anyway.

Size

The watch has a nice larger display with a casing diameter of 40mm which is extremely popular at the moment, the larger watches are just so much more in demand right now. The thickness of the case is 6mm which is classed as thing. Giving the whole watch this nice large but sleek feel to it that lots of people seem to admire, me included.

Calendar

Obviously there is no date feature on this watch, and I’m more than fine with that. The whole simplistic design has no need for it to be honest.

Watch strap and clasp

The strap is made of a soft genuine leather that’s very comfortable and fits nicely with the casing with it’s 20mm width. They’ve gone for a standard buckle clasp as you would expect. It’s worth noting it is very easy, and encouraged for you to buy extra straps, like the Nato and customise your watch. This means you can mix in different styles from day to day.

Conclusion

Hopefully you can fully see just why the brand has become so successful, a lot of their watches have similar features so reviewing one is similar to reviewing the others to be most honest. I particularly like this one though as I’m a fan of rose gold watches or detailing as I’m sure many of the regular readers are well aware of.

All in all great design, and great pricing for such a popular brand of watches, I’m sure you’ll be more than pleased with one of these.
