Watch Review
The first thing you notice about this watch is just how large it is. The oversized nature of it gives it this bold prominent finish. The numerals on the watch are large & bold giving them this easy to read style. The numerals, hour markers, and hands are coated in lume that makes them easier to read in dim lit conditions. There’s 3 sub dials that are part of the chronograph function giving you the added stop watch feature. The date display is a little small but it’s there as and when you need it.
Overall I love this bold design they’ve gone for, and I’m sure plenty of people will be pleased with the coin edged uni-direcitonal rotating bezel.
Type Of Crystal
Being an affordable watch in this price range I expected to see a mineral glass, and that’s exactly what I found. I’m quite happy with this to be fair as I wouldn’t expect to see a sapphire glass at this price.
Mineral glass is specially hardened to give you a stronger resistant to scratches and knocks. It’s also ideal for those of you who are prone to dropping your watches as it offers a better level of shatter resistance than sapphire glass.
Watch Movement
Powering this Invicta watch is a VD53 quartz movement. The VD53 is made if Japan by Hattori, it’s accurate and relibable which is what you’re after in an affordable watch.
Watch Size
This is what’s classed as an oversized watch. I often see a lot of people searching for ‘big face watches’ on google and this type of oversized watch tends to be what they’re looking for. The casing diamater measures 48mm which is classed as extra large, and the thickness is 12mm which isn’t actually too thick. You end up with a nice oversized dial without too much of a chunky finish.
Strap
The strap is made of a long lasting, thick durable black polyurethane. It’s quite wide at 24mm but that’s perfectly in keeping with the oversized style of the watch. It fastens with a single tang buckle style clasp.
Extra features
Features of this watch include a uni-directional rotating bezel, tacymeter, lume, and a stop watch via the chronograph timekeeping functions.
Water Resistance Rating
This watch has a water resist rating of 100m. A rating of 100m / 10 Bar makes this watch suitable for recreational surfing, swimming, snorkeling, sailing and water sports.
