Citizen CA4348-01E Watch Review
This Eco-Drive timepiece from Citizen features a large chronograph display with a textured dial design. The hands and hour markers are coated with a good amount of lume for easier reading in dim lit conditions too. There’s also a date display located between the 4 and 5 o’clock hour markers.
The casing is made of a strong stainless steel with a black protective bezel. The crown is positions at the 3 o’clock position with a chronograph pusher located either side of it. Please note that the crown does not screw down.
Type Of Crystal
Protecting the dial of the watch is a mineral crystal glass. This type of glass has been specially hardened to offer extra protection from scratches and knocks. It’s often found on watches in this price range so overall I’m quite happy with this.
A key feature of this watch is the Eco-Drive movement. It proved so popular for Citizen that it now features in the majority of their new watches.
This type of movement is powered by light, be it natural or artificial. I’ve got a couple of Eco-Drive watches in my collection and found them to be very efficient. Plus you save money on not having to have a battery replaced.
The casing diameter of this watch is approximately 44mm, this is a decent larger size for a men’s watch that’s quite popular at the moment. Note that it might not be suitable for people with smaller wrists though. The thickness of the casing is 13mm which is a fairly standard size.
The strap is made of a soft genuine leather that has a slightly thicker profile than your average strap, making it a bit more sturdy. It has a width of approximately 20mm which is in keeping with the size of the casing. The strap fastens with a standard buckle style clasp in stainless steel.
